Without a doubt New Zealanders care about this issue. Without any doubt, the numbers and votes are on our side about this. Without any doubt our government has ignored the people at their own peril. We must build a Public Service Television choice for our people. We've got together about this issue. The time to sit back is over. It's time to stand up and be counted.

Language Perfect is wonderful for students to work at their own pace to learn Japanese script and vocabulary. I have seen a great improvement in the students who were stuggling with script after using the software. We are looking forward to the World Championships!

Thanks for the excellent article! Vicki - one of my least engaged students enjoys getting rid of the "rainbow lists" so they are all green! Students are engaged in so many different (and unexpected) ways.

It is wonderful seeing students so engaged with learning vocabulary! Yesterday my least engaged student couldn't help himself when he realised that he was being left behind! Very addictive indeed :)

I am absolutely against the sale of New Zealand's assets.
We have spent 100 years building up these companies for our benefit. It is crazy to sell them to other countries for very short-term gain.
Once gone, we can never get them back except at huge cost to ourselves.

Laura Milliken said, “I still see people smoking on campus . . . aside from smokers being forced to stand in the rain, the ban doesn’t do anything.”

Laura, you’ve exposed one of the dirty little secrets of the college campus bans: the fact that they’re not all “happily welcomed and working well”! Here in the States the anti-smokers try to exaggerate the success they’ve had with campus bans in order to play the bandwagon effect of “everyone else is doing it! You should too!” propaganda trick.

The only place you see the falsity of that is in the rare and quiet reporting of bans being “modified” in order to cut down on the fire risks of hidden smoking and in order to mollify the neighbors around campuses who get tired of smoking students hanging out on their porches.

To Laura and others against the ban: Google V.Gen5H and click on the Health Arguments link at the top for a printable resource that you can share as a consciousness raiser. Don’t simply accept the role of being lab rats electro-shocked into proper behavior.
